Brent England - Partner

Brent England is a Partner at Hutcheson & Co., specializing in personal and corporate Canadian income taxes, US and Canadian cross-border taxes, as well as Estate planning. Prior to becoming a partner at Hutcheson & Co., Brent articled at the Auditor General’s office in Victoria, BC. Brent graduated from the University of Victoria in 1986 with a BSc. in Marine Biology. After his first degree, he received a diploma in Accounting from BCIT, followed by his Chartered Accountant designation in 1995. He completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Program in 1997 and has also been a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado since 2013.

When he is not assisting clients with their tax and estate planning and preparation needs, Brent takes advantage of the many boating, golfing and SCUBA diving opportunities available on our beautiful West Coast and abroad. He is also an active member of the Victoria community, currently volunteering as past District Commander and Instructor for the South Island division of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron; Commodore for the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club, past Commander of the Victoria Power Squadron; Treasurer of the Fair Mining Collaborative; and past President of the Victoria Estate Planning Council. With the time left in a day, Brent is a husband, and father to three grown children and three tiny dogs.
