Seeking US Tax Specialist/Senior US Tax Specialist

Hutcheson & Co is a progressive Chartered Professional Accountant firm in Victoria BC providing a full range of accounting and tax services. We are looking to add an enthusiastic and reliable member to our accounting and tax team. This position will appeal to a self-motivated and driven individual who is looking for both a challenging and rewarding career in tax and accounting. Chartered Professional Accountants with more than 4 year of public practice experience are welcome to apply to this job posting.

Duties will include :

  • Preparation of US and Canadian tax returns for individuals
  • Preparation of US trust and estate tax returns
  • Preparation of US corporate tax returns
  • Preparation of various US and Canadian foreign reporting and information returns
  • Assisting US Tax Managers and Partners, as required
  • Other tax related tasks as required

Skills and experience required :

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in public practice with US tax exposure and related experience
  • Computer and technological proficiency
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent written correspondence
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Able to multi-task and produce results under pressure
