Marlon Badesso - Partner

After graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1979, Marlon Badesso joined the Victoria office of Clarkson Gordon, Chartered Accountants. He received his own Chartered Accountant designation in 1981 and continued with Clarkson Gordon, specializing in the firm’s Small Business Advisory Group.

In 1986, Marlon left the national firm (then Ernst & Young, later to merge with KPMG) with three other partners and formed Hutcheson Winterbottom and Blower, Chartered Accountants. This company would later become Hutcheson & Co. Marlon became a partner in 1987. Since then, Hutcheson & Co. has grown from a staff roster of 9 to over 34 full-time and part-time team members.

Marlon specializes in providing financial and tax advice to both businesses and individuals, as well as preparing financial statements, personal and corporate tax returns, and advising on the goods and services tax (GST). When he is not assisting clients, Marlon is engaged in the community as a leader in youth and adult groups through his church and a district coordinator with the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive.

The Christmas season finds him participating in the Topaz Park Nativity pageant and choir performances. Thanks to his six children, he and his wife Kathy are proud grandparents to fifteen busy grandkids (and counting)!
